Grayson Highlands State Park 4 Day Trip (USD $650)
Dates: June 12th - 15th
We will be meeting May 15th at 4pm at Grayson Highlands State Park at the Chestnut Hollow Campground/Horse Sites to be determined. That evening we will make a group dinner, get familiar with gear, review safety and leave no trace practices. Cars will be parked at the campsites the night of the 12th then moved to the backpackers lot the morning of the 13th through the morning of the 15th. Please do not pay for camping or parking as campsites and overnight parking have been reserved.
June 13th - move cars and hike Big and Little Pinnacle then hike North on the Appalachian Trail to where we will camp at Thomas Knob Shelter. This is an unreserved shelter so we will be sharing the shelter/campground with other hikers.
June 14th - hike up to Mount Rodgers, we'll have the day to hike, chill and camp along the AT just outside of park boundaries (THIS WILL BE A VERY RELAXED DAY)
June 15th - pack up camp and return to cars

***We recommend getting proper footwear such as trail runners or hiking boots if that's your personal preference, Frog Togg rain gear ($30 from walmart), and a down jacket with a hood.
Please bring two changes of athletic clothing (aka NOT JEANS) for the days we are hiking and a warm layer (down jacket).

June 13th
- Breakfast - oatmeal with chia seeds, dried fruit, brown sugar, and nuts
- Lunch - Peanut Butter and Honey Tortilla Wraps
- Dinner - Alt Route Dehydrated Black Beans and Rice
June 14th
- Breakfast - Alt Route Dehydrated Southern Biscuits and Gravy
- Lunch - Peanut Butter and Honey Tortilla Wraps
- Dinner - Alt Route Dehydrated Quinoa Mountain Chili
June 15th
- Breakfast - oatmeal with chia seeds, dried fruit, brown sugar, and nuts
